Editorial & Scientific Design: Orchids of Guanahacabibes

This volume gathers the results of over fifteen years of scientific labor, documenting the 32 orchid species found in the Guanahacabibes Biosphere Reserve. The primary challenge was translating the rigor of botanical research into an emotional and accessible visual language without losing the necessary precision.

Under an art direction focused on chromatic fidelity, the cover and interior design aim to highlight the exotic beauty of the specimens. The graphic solution balances the density of taxonomic data with a clean, airy layout, achieving a hybrid that functions as a scientific tool while seducing as an art book. Special attention was paid to the hierarchy of botanical families and the correct use of Latin nomenclature, ensuring that readability met the academic rigor required for a publication of this caliber.
